‘Issues with Kuwait will be finalized before year end

Baghdad seeks to end all pending issues with Kuwait before the end of this year in order to restore the bilateral relations to their level during the 1980’s, the Iraqi government said in a recent statement. “Iraqi will end all pending issues with Kuwait before the start of next year; at which point there will be no obligations,” the statement reads, adding that the troubled relations between Kuwait and Iraq following the 1990 invasion have become “a thing of the past.” “The bilateral relations will be back to normal if not better because Iraq expressed good intention towards Kuwait, which were highly welcomed by Kuwait in return,” the statement adds.

UAE has largest stockpile of aid items for refugees

Speaking of the UAE’s role in assisting refugees, the official said that the country’s influential government can, and does, play an important role in resolving many international crises.

“The vision of the UAE leadership can inspire other nations to look for solutions when required, which in turn will allow many refugees to return to their homelands with dignity and go back to their normal lives,” he said.

It’s a festive season that also serves as a sweeps month: TV ratings peak because people stay home and watch with their families, avoiding foreign shows to focus on Arab television. Especially in Saudi Arabia, which has the highest advertising rates in the Middle East, Ramadan prompts an avalanche of new dramas, comedies, talk shows and game shows.
