The LAU Model Arab League celebrates its 6th year in 2017. On December 17, 2011 the Lebanese American University and the Hariri Foundation for Sustainable Development signed a Memorandum of Understanding that brought the first ever Model Arab League program to Lebanon. The first Model Arab League conference was held in Sidon at the Rafic Hariri High School. Seeing what a success it was, organizers decided to expand the benefits of the program to include the participation of high school students from across Lebanon.
