Christopher H. Johnson

Born to a U.S. foreign service family in Munich, Germany, Chris also lived as a child in South Africa, Morocco and Canada.

He graduated from Princeton University; New York University Law School; and Berkshire School.  

Chris was admitted in 1978 to the Bar in New York where he practiced until 1984, and to the Bar in the District of Columbia where he practiced from 1991-2010.

Chris leads a 40-person legal team in Riyadh and Washington, including 25 attorneys from a dozen countries in a wide range of corporate, commercial, regulatory and dispute fields. 

Clients have included the U.S. Departments of Justice and State, Bechtel, Lockheed Martin, Chevron, General Dynamics, American Express, Citibank, KKR, Blackstone, Blackrock, Apollo, Deutsche Bank, UBS,  Johnson & Johnson, Abbott Labs, Accenture, PwC Legal, Deloitte Consulting, Dell, Air Products, Amgen, Engie, Egis, ESB Int’l, Henning Larsen Architects, Bjorn Ingalls Group, Four Seasons, FAST Consortium (Riyadh Metro), Enel, Daimler, Uber, Honeywell, Sumitomo and Medtronics.

Chris served as Chairman of AmCham Saudi Arabia, the Middle East Council of American Chambers of Commerce and KKR Saudi Ltd.; and served as expert witness on Saudi law and as ICC Arbitrator.

He also served as Chairman and CEO of the humanitarian air service provider AirServ, and Vint Hill Economic Development Authority; and Partner at Arter & Hadden, Williams Mullen and Graham & James; and Associate at Burlingham Underwood & Lord.
