The National Council on U.S.-Arab Relations’ Model Arab League (MAL) program successfully concluded its Winter-Spring 2013 slate of conferences in April. Below are a collection of pictures from these recent educational events that took place across the U.S.

Registration for the 2013-2014 MAL program is now open. Students and schools wishing to participate in the coming school year should contact the National Council’s Director of Student Programs Megan Geissler or Deputy Director of Student Programs Josh Hilbrand to learn how to get involved.

2012 Washington, DC Summer Internship Program

The National Council recently completed its 2012 Washington, DC Summer Internship Program, which offers undergraduate and graduate students a ten-week professional, academic, and career opportunity internship in the Nation’s Capital. The program features an energizing and demanding mix of professional involvement, intellectual challenge, career exploration, and cultural encounter designed to provide interns with a rich and varied experience during their time in Washington.

NCUSAR Sixteenth Annual Oman Cultural Immersion Program, February 2012

From February 17-28, 2012, the National Council escorted a delegation of seven U.S. Central Command (CENTCOM) officers and several scholars on a unique Malone Fellowship visit to Oman. This Sixteenth Annual Oman Cultural Immersion study visit provided the participants a privileged first hand exposure to one of the Arab world’s most demographically, geographically, and socially diverse countries.
