As a member of the Board of Directors of the National Council on U.S.-Arab Relations, Ms. Peterson shares the Council’s commitment to improving American knowledge and understanding of the Arab region. She has written extensively about the Middle East, her work has appeared in American and Arab media outlets. In 2015, she was the Artist and Author in Residence at Dhahran Ahiliyya Schools in the Eastern Provence of Saudi Arabia. In 2018, Ms. Peterson published photo essays about visits to Oman and UNESCO World Heritage sites Madain Saleh and Historic Jeddah in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
