Corinth Model Arab League - Corinth, Greece

The Corinth Model Arab League (also known as Corinth MAL or CorMAL) is an academic simulation of the League of Arab States that aims to educate participants about current events, topics in international relations and diplomacy in the Middle East region.

The participants role-play as diplomats representing a nation or N.G.O in a simulated session of an organ (committee) of the Arab League, such as the Joint Defence Council or the Palestinian Affairs Council. Participants research a country, take on roles as diplomats, investigate international issues, debate, deliberate, consult, and then develop solutions to problems concerning the Middle East Region.

The conference is organized by the Model International Organizations Society of the University of Peloponnese in cooperation with the Municipality of Corinth and the Centre for Mediterranean, Middle East and Islamic Studies. The purpose of this simulation is to bring together university students from all over the world, that will work and cooperate as representatives of the Arab League Member States, as well as to further learn about an international organization which is not studied much in Europe and plays an important role in a region of great geopolitical importance.

The 2nd Corinth Model Arab League, in 2012, hosted four Councils: Joint Defense Council, Political Affairs Council, Social and Economics Affairs Council, and Palestinian Affairs Council.
